Bean Bags For Boats

The E-SeaRider is a good choice for owners of boats with sparse or uncomfortable seating.


The round marine bean bag from E-SeaRider is $89.95. Two of them have lived on our test boat for about one year. They’ve held up well, and clean up easily. One downside: They take up a lot of space.
The seating aboard some open boats can be limited and uncomfortable. PBR’s Twin Vee Awesome 22 is one such vessel. All of the seats, minus the leaning post at the helm, are actually Igloo coolers with snap-on padding (a common kill-two-birds-with-one-stone strategy employed on fishing boats). These cooler/seats on the 22 aren’t the safest places to reside, either—the coolers are secured to the deck with bungee cords.

But ever since we put two bean bags on the boat, crew and guests have been a lot more relaxed and secure. A bean bag on a boat? That’s absurd, you may say. They belong in front of basement TVs and in kids…
