We are pleased with the performance of the single Suzuki DF250 four-stroke on our 25-foot Contender. It’s powerful, fuel efficient, and quiet. But given the ridiculously high gas prices at the fuel dock, we wanted to try to find a propeller that would give us better mileage than the standard Suzuki prop. Another point of motivation: the DF250, while not sluggish out of the hole considering the size and weight of the deep-V hull it pushes, could be quicker.
