MJM34z Express: Fuel-Conscious Pocket CruiserWith lightweight construction and a single diesel, this classic-looking New England-style vessel cruises at a decent clip without devouring fuel. The price is steep for a 34-footer, however. 6- to 7-inch Combo Units: Navman Clearly the Winner The Navman Trackfish 6600 screen resolution out pixels em all. Furuno trails the leader but bests the rest with its GP-7000F. 150-hp Shoot-out: Suzuki, Honda Lead the Six-Pack The Honda BF150, Mercury OptiMax, and Yamaha F150 rack up impressive mileage numbers, but the Suzukis price is hard to beat. Gas Grills: Magma, Force 10 Dominate The Magma Catalina and the Force 10 Sea Grill, our favorite rectangular barbecues, also were the largest grillers. Of the smaller, easy-to-stow kettles, we preferred the Magma. Nonskid Protectants: Woody Wins Woody Wax made cleanup of dirt and fish-blood stains easyand it improved on-deck traction.
