Aurora, the reigning champion of waterline stain removers, fends off Interlux.

Interlux and Pettit dominate the market when it comes to marine paints. This year, for instance, we’re testing 21 paints from Interlux and 11 from Pettit in our annual bottom paint test—that’s more than half of the total number of paints in the test. Interlux recently jumped into the marine-cleaning ring with a handful of products, including a boat soap, a light-duty rubbing compound, a wax, and a wax sealer. Interlux also introduced a heavy-duty stain remover for fiberglass and other surfaces.
