Flush-mount Rod Holders: Go With Attwood or Smith

Just about every fishing boat we’ve ever inspected or reviewed comes equipped with a pair of rod holders fitted into the covering boards surrounding the cockpit. If you’re really lucky, four flush-mount rod holders will be standard—rarely are more installed from the factory. For even the occasional angler, it’s just not enough. Express or sportfisher style boats can always use a few more strategically placed rod holders around the cockpit, and a center console boat—well—we’ve seen some with more than a dozen flush mounted around the vessel. …
