Most of us have left at one time or another the anchor chain on the deck, or a fish hook on the top of the baitwell, or a pair of needlenose pliers in the engine compartment—thus opening the door to an oxidation process that leaves us with that familiar nasty rust stain on the boat’s fiberglass.
