Fighting Belts The Braid Sailfish takes First place in the battle of the belts (we tested 13), while a strapless fiberglass belt from Play Action finishes a close second. Smitty also makes a quality product. True World TE288 Finally, a boat with high, strong bow rails and wide sidedecks. This 28-foot pilothouse, with its single diesel and no-nonsense cabin, makes good economical sense as both a rugged fishboat and an occasional overnighter. Entry-Level LCD Radars Our field test of seven relatively inexpensive radar systems (average price around $1,500) reveals Furuno's 1712 as the top choice among monochrome displays.
