Albemarle 268

This mini offshore battlewagon can run with the big boys. Helm visibility needs improvement, and the bow rail is too short.


With a heavily built deep V hull, the Albemarle is not built for speed. She will get you through the rough stuff in relative comfort, however.

Going out to fish is tough enough.

You have to worry about the fuel, the rods, the bait, the electronics, the lifejackets, the weather, the wife. It goes on and on. So once you’re finally underway, you deserve a nice smooth ride to the fishing grounds—and back. No one enjoys pounding, slamming, and smashing through the water—except maybe those wacky personal watercraft (PWC) riders.
