When we step aboard a boat to begin an inspection, one of the first things we do is open a few topside hatches and lockers. Fishboxes, anchor lockers, access ports … they all speak to us. Almost like that little tub of Parkay margarine, they blurt out: “price-boat,” or “high-end.” Seriously, hatches many times foreshadow what we’ll find on the rest of the boat.
