ûa MOB 50 feet away.

This spring and summer there were a number of well-publicized incidents of people falling off boats and having to be recovered by the crew on board. In almost all these cases, the MOBs were professional sailors aboard racing sailboats. One died, and was almost certainly unconscious from a traumatic blow when he hit the water. The others, who went swimming mid-ocean in rough conditions, were extremely lucky to have gone overboard in daylight, and to have been parts of competent crews. …
