Motion-Sickness Remedies: Wrist Bands Worth A Try

The $7 Sea-Band worked well, so you green-faced wobbly legged yachtsmen might want to try that first. If these acupressure wristbands fail you, turn to the more expensive ($45) ReliefBand.

It all started with a letter from a PBR reader a couple of months ago. Dick Vignoni suggested we test a new motion-sickness product on the market—ReliefBand. We explained that we’ve considered testing seasickness remedies, but the project never got off the ground because finding a seasick-prone volunteer to test these products seemed like a long-shot.

A few weeks later, though, we received from another reader an e-mail labeled “Guinea Pig.” The rest is history.
