Albin 28

The Albin 28 Tournment Express isn't cheap, but it gives you greater cruising speed (22-plus knots) than many traditional-style hulls.

Think of Albin and it conjures up the image of a traditional, displacement-type boat that moves at a dignified (trawler-crawl) pace through the deep. When we reviewed the Albin 27 a few years back, we said it was intended for those who enjoy the “getting there” rather than the being there.

The Albin 28 Tournament Express, as the name implies, is a different kind of beast—still traditional and stately—but with a planing-style hull that will let you cruise at 22 knots and top out at close to 26.
